Hindi ki duniya: pehle kadam

This is a useful beginner’s kit. Hindi language learning is riddled with unique challenges—unfamiliar sounds, awkward pronunciations, gender confusion, and errors in grammar and syntax—that result in failure to understand what is being said or read.   

The Hindi ki duniya kit consists of a book of rhymes, a reader, an activity book, a workbook and an audio cassette that enable the teacher to help a child develop skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing, and thus ease her into the new language.

Dr Chandrika Mathur teaches at the Rishi Valley School, in Andhra Pradesh. This kit has developed out of her experience there.
