Under the banyan audio CD and book: �Sweet and salty�

A folk story from Andhra Pradesh about a man who goes out every night to listen to stories from the Ramayana, finding them to be alternatively sweet and salty.

Children can listen to it on CD or alternatively, an adult can read aloud from the accompanying book.  
These stories are related by popular voices from Indian film and theatre and are a lively combination of narrative and music. Storytelling is one of the best ways to introduce language to children. It also improves listening-comprehension skills.
