A set of photographs of the various professionals whose work helps to make our lives easier. Younger ones can identify people such as the farmer, tailor, barber and cook; their work helps to make the clothes we wear, the food we eat, and the homes we live in. The cards can be used to discuss many issues with older children, such as the labour chain, gender and occupation, occupation and environment, tools and modes of production, recycling, obsolescence, and disruptive technologies.
